The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) has kicked off a program, along with a mobile application, that will support Thai entrepreneurs in improving their competitiveness in the digital era, according to National News Bureau (NNB).
The program to raise operators’ potential in utilizing digital technology and innovation has been launched by DEPA, in conjunction with the “Thailand I Love U” application, which will facilitate new SME and OTOP operators in accessing e-commerce. In accordance with the government’s Thailand 4.0 agenda and digital economy policy, the program will offer lectures to educate participants on the effective use of technology and innovation, the development of community brands and the adjustment of community enterprises towards the 4.0 era.
This program is set to be piloted in ten major provinces nationwide, such as Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket and Surat Thani. The lectures will be conducted by up to 400 volunteer speakers who are specialized in e-marketing and inventory management.
As for the “Thailand I Love U” app, it will be available for download on both the iOS and Android platforms from April 20 onwards. Users will be able to pin over 50,000 locations within the ten pilot provinces on a digital map, linking their products’ information with the online market.
